Terms & Conditions
The important bits in one clear place: how WilderGoat competitions work, how refunds are handled, and how personal data is protected.
What you can check first.
Plain-English summary
- Check the prize, price, closing date, entry cap and per-person limit before entering.
- Keep your account details accurate so winner notifications and delivery arrangements can reach you.
- Use only your own legal name and your own WilderGoat account.
- Contact WilderGoat promptly if something looks wrong with a payment, order or entry.
Terms, privacy and refunds
These terms apply when someone creates an account, submits an entry or takes part in a WilderGoat prize draw on wildergoat.co.uk. The competition page may also include specific terms for that individual draw, and those specific terms take priority where they differ.
Who can enter
- Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
- Entrants must use their own legal name, their own account and accurate contact details.
- Employees, connected suppliers and immediate family or household members of connected people cannot enter.
Entry routes
- Paid online entries are submitted through the website checkout.
- Free postal entries are treated the same as paid entries once validly accepted.
- Postal entries must be handwritten, sent by post, and received before the competition’s published closing date and time. Where the standard single-entry price is less than the cost of a second-class stamp, a valid postal entry will receive the corresponding number of entries set out in the full Terms and Conditions.
Fair play
WilderGoat may void entries, suspend accounts, withhold prizes or redraw where there is suspected fraud, multiple accounts, identity misuse, automated entries, website interference, abusive behaviour or a breach of the rules.
- Only valid entries with correct answers, where applicable, go into the draw.
- Winners are selected at random using a computer process designed to produce verifiably random results.
- Draws normally take place within 7 days of the closing date unless the competition page says otherwise or a genuine issue prevents it.
- Winners may need to provide photo ID and proof of address before a prize is awarded.
- Prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash unless the competition page says so.
- Delivery is included to mainland Great Britain unless the competition page says otherwise.
WilderGoat collects personal data needed to run accounts, process entries, administer competitions, handle payments and refunds, verify winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud, deal with queries and meet legal or accounting duties.
Examples of data used
- Account details, contact details and age confirmation.
- Competition entries, ticket numbers, answers, order records and timestamps.
- Payment status and transaction references. Full card details are not stored on the website.
- Winner verification details such as ID, proof of address and delivery information.
- Website security, cookie and technical data.
WilderGoat does not sell personal data. Identity documents are not used for marketing.
Customers can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict their personal data in certain circumstances. They can also object to certain uses, withdraw consent where consent is used, request a portable copy of certain data, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Competition, order and complaint records may be kept for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute and regulatory reasons. Winner verification documents should only be kept for as long as reasonably needed for verification, fulfilment, disputes, legal needs and fraud prevention.
Entry fees are not normally refundable once an entry has been submitted, unless WilderGoat cancels the competition or a refund is required by law.
- Changing your mind, choosing the wrong competition or selecting the wrong entry quantity does not normally create a refund right.
- If WilderGoat cancels a competition before the draw, paid entries for that competition will be refunded using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
- Refunds are not given where entries are voided due to fraud, misconduct, abuse or breach of the rules.
- Postal entries do not involve an entry fee, so postage and stationery costs are not refunded.
Questions about terms, privacy, refunds or competition administration can be sent to info@wildergoat.co.uk.
For refund reviews, include your full name, account email address, competition name, order number if available, payment date and a clear explanation of why you believe a refund is due.
Privacy concerns can also be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are not satisfied with the response.
