Terms & Conditions
The important bits in one clear place: how WilderGoat competitions work, including instant wins, how refunds are handled, and how personal data is protected.
What you can check first.
Plain-English summary
- Check the prizes, price, closing date, entry cap and per-person limit before entering.
- Keep your account details accurate so winner notifications and delivery arrangements can reach you.
- Use only your own legal name and your own WilderGoat account.
- Contact WilderGoat promptly if something looks wrong with a payment, order or entry.
- For instant-win competitions, check whether there is also a main prize and what instant prizes remain available.
Terms, privacy and refunds
These terms apply when someone creates an account, submits an entry or takes part in a WilderGoat competition on wildergoat.co.uk. A competition may include a main prize, instant wins, or both. The competition page may also include specific terms for that competition, and those specific terms take priority where they differ.
Who can enter
- Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
- Entrants must use their own legal name, their own account and accurate contact details.
- Employees, connected suppliers and immediate family or household members of connected people cannot enter.
Entry routes
- Paid online entries are submitted through the website checkout.
- Valid free postal entries are eligible for the same advertised prizes as paid entries.
- Postal entries must be handwritten, sent by post, and received before the competition’s published closing date and time. Where the standard single-entry price is less than the cost of a second-class stamp, a valid postal entry will receive the corresponding number of entries set out in the full Terms and Conditions.
Fair play
WilderGoat may void entries, suspend accounts, withhold prizes or redraw where there is suspected fraud, multiple accounts, identity misuse, automated entries, website interference, abusive behaviour or a breach of the rules.
- Only valid entries with correct answers, where applicable, are eligible for prizes.
- Where a main prize is included, the winner is selected after the competition closes using WilderGoat’s verified random draw process.
- Instant wins use locked winning entry numbers and are covered separately below.
- Main draws normally take place within 7 days of the closing date unless the competition page says otherwise or a genuine issue prevents it.
- Winners may need to provide photo ID and proof of address before a prize is awarded.
- Physical prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash unless the competition page says otherwise.
- Delivery is included to mainland Great Britain unless the competition page says otherwise.
Some WilderGoat competitions include instant prizes. Some may also include a separate main prize, while future competitions may be instant-win only.
- Specific entry numbers are linked to specific instant prizes before entry allocation begins.
- Your valid entry numbers are randomly assigned and checked against those locked winning numbers.
- WilderGoat does not choose an instant winner after seeing who entered.
- Where a main prize is included, winning an instant prize does not remove that entry from the main draw.
- If an instant-winning number is never allocated to a valid entrant before the competition closes, that prize is not awarded.
- Unallocated instant prizes are not moved to different entry numbers later to force a winner.
- Valid postal entries are eligible for the same advertised instant prizes as paid entries.
WG Site Credit
WG Site Credit is non-cash credit added to the customer’s WilderGoat account. It cannot be exchanged for cash and may only be used on competitions or products marked as eligible. Any additional restrictions will be shown on the website or competition page.
WilderGoat collects personal data needed to run accounts, process entries, administer competitions, handle payments and refunds, record instant-win results, verify winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud, deal with queries and meet legal or accounting duties.
Examples of data used
- Account details, contact details and age confirmation.
- Competition entries, ticket numbers, answers, instant-win results, order records and timestamps.
- Payment status and transaction references. Full card details are not stored on the website.
- Winner verification details such as ID, proof of address and delivery information.
- Website security, cookie and technical data.
WilderGoat does not sell personal data. Identity documents are not used for marketing.
Customers can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict their personal data in certain circumstances. They can also object to certain uses, withdraw consent where consent is used, request a portable copy of certain data, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Competition, order and complaint records may be kept for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute and regulatory reasons. Winner verification documents should only be kept for as long as reasonably needed for verification, fulfilment, disputes, legal needs and fraud prevention.
Entry fees are not normally refundable once an entry has been submitted, unless WilderGoat cancels the competition or a refund is required by law.
- Changing your mind, choosing the wrong competition or selecting the wrong entry quantity does not normally create a refund right.
- If WilderGoat cancels a competition before completion, paid entries will be refunded using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
- If an order is cancelled, refunded or found invalid, any instant prize or WG Site Credit linked to that invalidated entry may be cancelled or reversed.
- Refunds are not given where entries are voided due to fraud, misconduct, abuse or breach of the rules.
- Postal entries do not involve an entry fee, so postage and stationery costs are not refunded.

For refund reviews, include your full name, account email address, competition name, order number if available, payment date and a clear explanation of why you believe a refund is due.
Privacy concerns can also be raised with the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are not satisfied with the response.
