The plain version
1. Every competition shows the prizes, entry limits, price, closing date and entry route.
2. Your valid entry numbers are randomly assigned. If instant wins are included, they are checked straight away.

Entries are recorded
Once confirmed, your valid entries are recorded against your account. Entry numbers are automatically assigned randomly rather than picked manually.
Your result
If instant wins are included, your numbers are checked against the locked instant-winning numbers straight away. If there is a main prize, those valid entries remain live for the verified draw after the competition closes. See how the main winner is picked for more information.
No purchase necessary
Free postal entry is part of every competition.
You can enter any active WilderGoat competition for free by post. Valid postal entries are eligible for the same advertised prizes as paid online entries, including instant wins and any main prize where applicable.
Postal entries must follow the instructions on the Free Postal Entry page and arrive before the relevant closing date.
Fairness checks
Paid and valid postal entries are treated on the same basis for the advertised prizes.
Instant-winning numbers are locked in advance; main-prize winners are selected later using the verified draw process.
Winner details are checked before a prize is released.
Records are kept so competitions can be checked if needed.
If you win
What happens next.
Instant winners are shown their result after confirmation. Main-prize winners, where applicable, are contacted after the draw. Verification may be needed before a physical prize is released.
Winner notified
Instant results may appear straight away. We also contact winners directly where needed using the email address on their account.
Verification
Winners may be asked for ID and proof of address before a prize is delivered or collected.
Prize arranged
Once verified, delivery or collection is arranged according to the competition details and prize requirements.
